We don’t live independently. We are depended on other people, organisation, money and state. Nowadays all of us need to earn some money for living. Everything costs something. The best way, how to earn money is having a job. If the job is good, it depends on 2 aspects: if we do what we are interesting in and if we earn enough money.

In childhood we don’t think hard about jobs. We dream and we want to be pop singers, actors, actresses, ballet-dancers. The first time when we think hardly about professions is that time, when we must choose what type of secondary school we want to attend. Because students, who choose technical schools, will be prepared for jobs on their field of study. Gymnasiums prepare student for higher education. Before some months we chose our future high schools. It was the second time when we had to think what would be interesting for us and what we would be good at.  I decided for Comenius University, financial mathematic. It is something like economics but on higher level. When I will have a diploma I will able to work, for example in national bank of Slovak Republic.

There are more ways how to find a job – job advertisement in newspapers, on-line, we can ask our friends or we can go to a job centre and ask for help. If we have found the job advertisement, we have to contact our future employer and find out if the position is still free. If it is we have to write CV which includes all the necessary information: our personal data and details about education, qualifications, and special skills. We have to send our CV with a cover letter. This letter includes more information about us, why we want this job, etc.

Very important part of this process is interview. The aim of interview is that our employer will see, how we can communicate, how our reactions are, if we are able to “sell ourselves”.

Our clothes shouldn’t be dirty, we should know what we want to say, why we want to get the job…
